Coach (AI service by Anthropic)

The coach in the app runs on the AI model Claude by Anthropic PBC (San Francisco, USA). Data is only sent to Anthropic when a coach feature runs: when you write to the coach or the app creates a coach analysis, such as the recap after a session or a note about a missed session. For this, the data is transferred via our server to Anthropic in the USA and processed there to generate the response.

Each request may include the following:

• your message to the coach
• profile details: display name, training age, body weight, height, training goal, split and cardio volume
• training data: plan, logged sets, volume per muscle, personal records and cardio sessions from Apple Health
• recovery data: HRV, sleep, resting heart rate, plus your readiness score and its history
• body measurements, if available (e.g. body fat, muscle mass)
• complaints, limitations and notes you have shared with the coach

What is stored

We store your messages, the coach's replies and the notes the coach keeps at your request (e.g. a shoulder issue). The other data listed above is sent per request and not additionally stored in our database. Your email address and payment details are not sent to Anthropic.

On request to support@refinesimple.com, we fully delete your conversation history and coach notes. Information on how Anthropic processes data is available at anthropic.com/legal/privacy.

Servers and database (Supabase)

Your account, conversation history and coach notes are stored with Supabase in the Frankfurt am Main region (EU). The location "Singapore" in the linked policy is outdated.

Health data from Apple Health

The app only reads HRV, sleep, resting heart rate and cardio sessions if you grant access to Apple Health. You can revoke access at any time in the Apple Health privacy settings. Plan, logging and coach also work without this data.
